High performance DSP speaker management
The DSM components are powerful and state of art tools for professional speaker management. Our DSM-428 series contains 2 different devices which convince you with highest level of DSP technology on the market. Both models offer 4 electronically balanced analog inputs and 8 electronically balanced analog outputs. The rugged analog input stage accepts input voltages up to +24dBu thus matching any source on the market today, with an excellent dynamic range of typically 140dB(A) in the Ultimate version. The max. output level is 12dB, (18dB Ultimate). An AES/EBU input connects with a two-channel digital input. To match the demand of Audio via IP there is the possibility to connect and use AES67 and AVB/Milan (Q1/2021) with these DSM processors. (For Dante please check with our technical team.) Up to 12 x 1200 FIR taps in the Ultimate version, 10 PEQ for each in and output channel and crossover filter up to 48dB/Oct points out the high level of these DSM series. Permanent logging and monitoring of key parameters such as temperature, signal level and gain reduction. Controlled via the front panel or via the DSM network application, the DSP settings and coefficients are calculated on-the-fly at the moment of changing the parameters. Frequencies can be set with 1Hz accuracy, delays with 15 microseconds accuracy, and gains with 0.01dB accuracy. When editing values via the front panel, some values are limited in granularity; e.g. gain is set via 0.25dB steps in this case. The DSM Network software will give you access to all DSM devices connected to the network. This could be speaker management processors, amplifiers or active speaker and line arrays. It is possible to group and control several units under the DSM network for easy stress-free configuration of huge sound setups.
